I love working in different media, and the one thing that ties them all together is my little blue studio. Yes, it is an actual place...very little and very blue...with wonderfully wide windows that let in southern sunshine
and let me peer out at my oh so tall magnolia tree which dwarfs the rooftops of the other rowhomes and frames the city skyline just blocks away. In warmer weather, I throw the windows open and take little breaks
from my work to shout out at my kids zooming too fast down the alley on their various wheeled contraptions. At my desk, I get to hear birdsong and train whistles and speeding dirt bikes. I get to smell roses and honeysuckle
and burning charcoal. I get to wave hello to my neighbors, and every once in a while...get to be a crime-fighting superhero. My little blue studio gives me the best of everything, and that allows me in return to give
the best of myself to the rest of the world.
